WELCOME & INVITATION

Welcome to my blog about life's epiphanies--some big, some small, yet each one significant. Maybe you came across my blog from a random web search or maybe you're a close friend or family member who's visiting just in case I ask you about my blog next time I see you. No matter why you're here, thanks for stopping by and giving me a chance to share a bit of my life with you (and I hope you'll eventually share a bit of yours too). Really, that's what this blog is about: walking together through life, sharing with each other our unexpected epiphanies--those "Aha! moments" when the light bulb flashes on and something just hits you about the deeper things of life.

Whether it’s something you just read, a song you heard on the radio, or something you saw walking down the street, my hope is that the more often we share these unexpected life lessons, the more we'll help each other take that next step deeper into life as it was meant to be lived--every mundane moment being transformed into breathtaking, authentic, life-giving encounters with one another, with the Divine, and this world.

Just this morning when I proudly showed Larisa my newly created blog, which I stayed up until 5am to set up (most of the time was wasted trying to find the perfect fonts), she responded, "I can put some quotes too, right?" All she had read was the title and description, yet her response is exactly what I hoped for in starting this blog--that some of the things I share here will inspire you to share from your life as well.

Please think of this blog as a conversation, definitely not a monologue. And if you too want to share more than just your comments and be a guest author, please let me know. The invitation is open to everyone. And if you're intimidated by the thought of posting something anyone in the whole world could read (besides tweeting or updating your Facebook status), please read Disclaimer #1. Hopefully it will encourage you. If you're still scared, anonymous guest authors will always be welcome too.

Finally, just a reminder/encouragement to each of us to not let these unexpected epiphanies simply be nice quotes that could make great bumper stickers. My hope and prayer is that these "Aha!" moments will take root deep within us and actually change how we live each day, and as we are changed, my even greater prayer is that the change in us will bring change to our world and to every life we meet in our world.

I think that just about covers it. Thanks again for stopping by, and again, welcome to the conversation.
